The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving to sea ports around the world domestically and internationally with detailed knowledge of various packaging methods and hazardous materials shipping, proper labeling procedures, and preparation of international and domestic bills of lading, one year of supervisory capacity is required. Former warehousing experience is also desirable. Qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of training and experiences. Two years’ experience in both Domestic and International Shipping and Receiving with detailed knowledge of various packaging methods and hazardous materials shipping; proper labeling procedures, and preparation of international and domestic bills of lading. One year in supervisory capacity is required. Experience with scientific ocean drilling is preferred with a background in the sciences. Domestic and International export and import control/compliance certification is also required. Current training in multi-modal hazardous material shipping (49 CFR, IATA, IMDG) and formal Supply Chain Management certification or training is also preferred. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the applicant.job
